Jan Day Gravel
President and Chief Learning Officer
Jan Day Gravel brings more than twenty years of experience guiding and supporting organizations and leaders as they clarify their purpose and goals and develop concrete action plans to make their vision a reality. An organizational leader herself, Jan has served as a President and CEO so she knows firsthand the challenges leaders face in today’s environment. With a focus and passion for identifying and developing leadership potential, she enables people to “lead with their brain in mind’ and increase not only their individual capacities but those of their team to get the results they desire. A certified Emergenetics® specialist, Jan works with clients to understand how they are genetically wired with a tendency to think and behave in certain ways and how this influences their leadership and communications style. Her work in the federal sector, corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and communities has helped thousands of individuals achieve greater personal satisfaction and improve their performance thus giving organizations a return on their investment.
Certified by the International Coach Federation, Jan specializes in executive and team coaching as well as leadership and team training. A highly personalized process for development, coaching helps leaders and teams develop their capacity in rapidly changing environments to be better and more effective leaders and managers.
Her commitment to improving the quality of life for citizens led her to be the only person in the United States to serve as the Executive Director for six community leadership programs. Her expertise in developing effective community coalitions in the areas of education, environment, government, and the judiciary has achieved concrete results. Recognized as one of the “Top 25 Women of the Year” by The Baton Rouge Business Report, she organized a coalition which successfully elected nine new School Board candidates on a core agenda of beliefs setting the stage to end one of the longest running desegregation suits in the country.
